A century and a half ago, old Earth’s governments collapsed under economic ruin and environmental failure. Private industry stepped into the vacuum. The mega-corporations offered humanity a way off a dying planet, in exchange for loyalty.

Two titans dominate. Hyperion Dynamics, because every colony breathes air Hyperion sells them. Syntheon-Meridian Corporation, monopolists of the supplies keeping those colonies alive. They fought a war. They signed an armistice. The war did not end. It changed frequency.

The Corporate Wars are now prosecuted in encrypted channels, on auction floors for stolen blueprints, inside the compromised personnel files of rival executives. Information is the primary ordnance.
